Can't access my wordpress website. It is rather down or moved to a different web address permanently. What should I do?

The website worked great at first, but recently I went on and it told me the server had migrated. Now when I try to access it, it tells me that my webpage is rather down temporarily or permanently moved to a new web address. I'm clueless on how to solve the problem. Thanks for the help. P.S., My host is webhostingforstudents.com

I have the exact problem. I contacted webhostingforstudents.com and they told me they migrated my site to a new server and that I needed to wait "some time" before propagating it again and they will get in touch with me. A few weeks later, still nothing. Had I known they would be like this, I would have never signed up. I only signed up because Treehouse recommended it. Go figure. Lesson learned. I just hope somebody else can benefit from my experience before they sign up.

Hi Alexander,

It be simply a problem with your web host so you could try contacting them. :-)

Alternatively if you've moved some of the files in the web server it may be causing a misconfiguration. Did you build it first on localhost via MAMP or XAMPP or some other software. It may be looking for files in a different root URL which means looking for a location on your computer rather than a location on the internet.

Good luck. :-)
