Can't add "Item" on menu.xml

For some reason, when I press "Add" on my Eclipse (it's up-to-date), I don't have the options to add a new Item like Ben shows in the video. I'm not sure if it's because he recorded this video on an older version of Eclipse or if I'm missing something, but when I press the button to Add, it tells me that I need to "Create a new element in the top level".

When I first go on to menu.xml, the option to even delete the menu-item is not available as it doesn't even have one. Can someone help me out?

Figured it out. Even though when I pressed Update through Help -> Check for Updates and it said no Updates available. There was actually an update that I needed. I had to do it through https://dl-ssl.google.com/android/eclipse/ where you can add a url and give it any name. Then just go through the steps of saying Yes and then re-start. It's showing for me now.

Hope this helps anyone in the future who has this issue.

I've done a hackaround now which is to add the Item through the XML.

Yeah that's what I figured. Just so strange since my other friend did the exact same set up as I did but his eclipse is fine.
