Can't clone the project from GitHub or open it using ZIP file

I can't clone the version i needed for the project, even if I could, the program doesn't run in any version No Gradle errors just this one is popping up Error:Execution failed for task ':app:compileDebugJavaWithJavac'.

Cannot find System Java Compiler. Ensure that you have installed a JDK (not just a JRE) and configured your JAVA_HOME system variable to point to the according directory.
