CSS How to Make a Website Responsive Web Design and Testing Build a Three Column Layout

Can't display 3 columns without !important

I've made sure to link to responsive.css after main.css (and the test media queries worked fine). I can't seem to get three columns to display unless I use !important.

@media screen and (min-width: 480px) { /********************************** 2 COLUMN LAYOUT ***********************************/

primary {

width: 50%;
float: left;

}

secondary {

width: 40%;
float: right;

}

/********************************** PAGE: PORTFOLIO ***********************************/

gallery li {

width: 28.3333% !important;

} @media screen and (min-width: 660px) { }

Solved it. Missing a second bracket to close the media query :)
