Can't get app to run on emulator

I am at the point where I should see the fun facts button, be able to click it, and have it randomly select a string to display on the device. There are no errors in the code but I cannot see the app at all in my emulator (Nexus_API_21 Android 5.0.1). I unchecked Enable ADB Integration as recommended here http://stackoverflow.com/questions/29198327/android-studio-emulator-is-running-but-not-showing-up-in-run-app-choose-a-runn but it didn't make a difference.
