Can't manage to make the code work!

I've tried it in workspaces and it works, however, when I check the work it returns a Bummer!. Any idea?

wordcount.py
# E.g. word_count("I do not like it Sam I Am") gets back a dictionary like:
# {'i': 2, 'do': 1, 'it': 1, 'sam': 1, 'like': 1, 'not': 1, 'am': 1}
# Lowercase the string to make it easier.

def word_count(argument):

    string1 = argument.lower().split(' ')

    final_dict = {}

    for item in string1:
        if item not in final_dict:
            final_dict[item] = 1
        elif item in final_dict:
            num = final_dict[item]
            final_dict[item] = num + 1
    return final_dict

Nothing in particular, just try split() rather than split(" ").

# E.g. word_count("I do not like it Sam I Am") gets back a dictionary like:
# {'i': 2, 'do': 1, 'it': 1, 'sam': 1, 'like': 1, 'not': 1, 'am': 1}
# Lowercase the string to make it easier.
def word_count(argument):
    string1 = argument.lower().split()
    final_dict = {}
    for item in string1:
        if item not in final_dict:
            final_dict[item] = 1
        elif item in final_dict:
            num = final_dict[item]
            final_dict[item] = num + 1
    return final_dict
