challenge slices they have a problem.

it should work..... it's OK, I don't understand what is wrong.

slices.py
favorite_things = ['raindrops on roses', 'whiskers on kittens', 'bright copper kettles',
                   'warm woolen mittens', 'bright paper packages tied up with string',
                   'cream colored ponies', 'crisp apple strudels']

slice1 = favorite_things[2:5]

Don't forget that indexing starts at 0 in Python, so when you are asked to get the second, third and fourth elements of the list you need to start with the number 1 (which is the second element) and go up to but not include the fifth element (which would be the index of 4).

So, your python code should look like...

slice1 = favorite_things[1:4]
