Question:

Oops, I forgot that I need to break out of the loop when the current item is the string "STOP". Help me add that code!

what's wrong with my break? I keep facing the error

breaks.py 
def loopy(items):
    # Code goes here
    # list
    loopy_item_list = []

    #add something on the list
    loopy_item_list.append(items)

   #show the list
    for item in loopy_item_list:
        print(item)

    if items == "STOP":
        break

There are a few errors.

  1. items is already a list, so you are creating a list inside a list.

  2. You need to check for STOP inside your for loop, against the current item, before it prints.

def loopy(items):

    #show the list
    for item in items:
        if item == "STOP":
            break

        print(item)
