Hi Curtis:

There are many variables involved in the creation of a website and these variables will differ from site to site. For someone to be able to answer your question you would need to provide more specifics about the site and what you're trying to change.

Are you trying to redo the site entirely, update the copy, or change/add images? Is the site a static site (i.e., comprised only of HTML, CSS, with maybe some JavaScript/jQuery thrown in), or a dynamic site (i.e., does it have a database that stores information collected from users, and back-end code, such as PHP, to interact with said database).

Was the site developed using a content management system (CMS), such as Wordpress, Joomla, or Drupal?

These (and more) are the types of questions a person would need answers to in order to provide meaningful help for your situation.

The site was created using a content management system ( wordpress )

That's helpful. I'm going to assume, based on your initial question, you're an absolute beginner to web development. If that is indeed the case, my suggestion to you would be to start here, and then move on to this.
