Trying to return a boolean values if an array contains name. This is what I've got. Help!
def contains?(name) return todo_items.include?(name) end
class TodoList
attr_reader :name, :todo_items
def initialize(name)
@name = name
@todo_items = []
end
def add_item(name)
todo_items.push(TodoItem.new(name))
end
def contains?(name)
return todo_items.include?(name)
end
def find_index(name)
index = 0
found = false
todo_items.each do |item|
found = true if item.name == name
break if found
index += 1
end
if found
return index
else
return nil
end

Thanks for the reply. I'm still a bit confused as to why return todo_items.include?(name) would not work. include? method does return a boolean value. Thanks.

Courses Plus Student 26,868 PointsBecause the items in the todo_items array are TodoItem objects; but the thing we search for is the TodoItem.name property in the object. It's nested one level deep. That's why include method won't work
