Cleaning URLS

I have watched the videos a few times and I don't know where to start with this....stuck...

about/leadership/index.php

Ahh, very simply:

 <p><a href="/contact/">Contact</a></p>

I just grabbed it from the question :-)

The HTML for the page has an anchor tag that is supposed to link to http://localhost/contact/,

I assume in this example there is a rewrite rule in the .htaccess file. p.s. if that last sentence doesn't mean anything just yet, it should do soon!

Have you got a particular question that you're stuck on?

I can tell you that your href doesn't look quite right:

<p><a href="/applications/MAMP/about/leadership/contact.php/">Contact</a></p>

That looks like a root relative path for the server. Try this instead

<p><a href="/about/leadership/contact.php/">Contact</a></p>

Thanks Tom. That's what I initially had. After trying that, I came up with what I have above.

Here is the actual task:

The PHP file below contains code for the page on a website. It is named index.php, and it is located in the htdocs/about/leadership subfolder. The web address for this web page is http://localhost/about/leadership/. The HTML for the page has an anchor tag that is supposed to link to http://localhost/contact/, but it’s broken. Fix that link, using a root-relative web address.
