I dont understend how I can do the secend part of code challenge.

In the Second part of the challenge it asks to you to add the # symbol and lastName in Uppercase to the end of Username string. so that the result is 23188XTR#SMITH . Since you already made id Uppercase, All you have left is to add the # symbol and lastName in Uppercase. You do that with concatenation. This is the solution ---> var userName = id.toUpperCase() + '#' + lastName.toUpperCase(); I hoped that I helped.

add this:

  • '#' + lastName.toUpperCase();

to the end of this

var userName = id.toUpperCase()

your adding the lastName string to the end of the userName variable you already have

I was stuck on the exact same thing lastnight. after some searches I finally figured it out... it was frustrating me to no end. lol... just do what Diego mentions here, thats exactly how i came up with the answer.
