code challenge disemvowel

Hi! In Thonny it's working, but the code challenge always give me a "Bummer!" or other error message. Any suggestion? Thanks in advance!:)

disemvowel.py
word = input("Word: ")
def disemvowel(word):
    a = list(word)
    vow = ("a","e","i","o","u","A","E","I","O","U")
    d = 0
    while d < 2:
        for i in a:
            for c in vow:
                if i == c:
                    a.remove(i)
                    d += 1
    word = "".join(a)
    return word

This should work:

def disemvowel(word):
    word_list = list(word)
    for letter in word:
        if letter.lower() in 'aeiou':
            word_list.remove(letter)
    word = "".join(word_list)
    return word

Another way to do it is with re.sub predefined python function!

import re

def disemvowel(word):
  return re.sub('[AEIOUaeiou]', '', word)

def disemvowel(word): vowels = ['a','e','i','o','u', 'A','E','I','O','U']

ret_word = []
for i in word :
    if i not in vowels:
        ret_word.append(i)

return ''.join(ret_word)
