Code challenge help please!

Add a margin of 2.5% to the gallery list items. Then, set the text color and background to colors of your choosing.

what am I doing wrong?

I think there is a bug in this challenge with accepting shorthand. I've sent it along to Treehouse staff.

Hi Joel,

The problem is with the last property: background. You should use background-color property to access and modify the background color.

I got it to pass with your code by using a keyword instead of a hexidecimal value (I used 'grey') as the color property.

it wouldn't display any other text color for me except #bdc3c7 the background color change had no issues
