Code keeps returning null for name and food?

template = "Hi, I'm {} and I love to eat {}!"

def string_factory(name=None, food=None): return template.format(name, food)

print(string_factory(**{"name":"Steven", "food": "pizza"}))

Not sure what I am doing wrong as to why code keeps returning a null value
