try this :

The problem with your code lies within your max-width inside your media query as it should be min-width to apply styles to screen sizes of 480px and above. Here is my code below if you are unsure:

@media screen and (min-width: 480px) {
  h1 {
    font-size: 2.5em;
  }
}

The media queries need to go on the bottom of the code & the h1 needs to be outside the query and stay near top or above the query.
