Full Stack JavaScript Techdegree Student 5,410 Pointscode not working
I'm writing the code as instructed and following the previous example syntax but unfortunately when checking task 2, somehow task 1 gets broken (or so the error says)
var id = "23188xtr";
var lastName = "Smith";
var userName = id.toUpperCase();
userName += "#" + lastName;

Front End Web Development Techdegree Graduate 33,271 Pointsyou are not quite doing what the challenge asks. the error causes it to say task 1 no longer passes. there's one thing you need to do to lastname to get the string they are asking for.

The only problem is, you didn't call toUpperCase on the lastName variable when userName was updated.
