Your style tags (including the closing tag) need to be above your h1 tag. Then inside your style tags, select the h1 element and change the color to green.

<style>
h1 {
  color: green;
}
</style>
<h1>Nick Pettit</h1>

For inline styling, you style in the open h1 tag before closing..

For internal styling, you style in the head tag.

(For inline styling)

<h1 style="color:green;">Nick Petit</h1>

(For internal styling)

<style>
  h1 {
        color:green;
        }
</style>

I hope this works for you.
