CSS How to Make a Website Beginning HTML and CSS Write a CSS Selector and Property

coloring h1 tag green

forgot how to color tag h1 green

index.html
<body>
  <h1><style>

    {
    <>"color:green;"
    }

    <h1>Nick Pettit</h1>
</body>

Abe Layee is correct though i see he was not clear enough. If you trying to write css in the same document then you went in the wrong direction.

the <h1> Nick Pettit</h1> is fine but you need to style only h1 tag is style tag. for example

Put style tag above header.

'''css <style> h1 { color: green; } </style>

'''html <body> <h1>Nick Pettit</h1> </body>'''

This is how you color the h1 tag to green. The first thing you do is by selecting the element which you want to style follow by curly brackets {};

h1 {
  color:green;
}
