HTML How to Make a Website Responsive Web Design and Testing Build a Three Column Layout

Columns not showing up

I'm following along with the video and I don't know why my two columns aren't showing up. Am I doing it wrong? I double-checked for typos and didn't see any.

Here's code from my responsive.css:

@media screen and (min-width: 480px) {

/*********************
TWO COLUMN LAYOUT
***********************/

  #primary {
    width: 50%;
    float: left;
  }

  #secondary {
    width: 40%;
    float: right;
  }

}

And then in my contact.html page, here's the code it's referring to:

<div id="wrapper">
      <section id="primary">
        <h3>General Information</h3>
        <p>Don't be shy; I'm an open book! Whether you'd like to hit me up for coffee or contact me about freelance work, I'd love to hear from you.</p>
        <p>Please only use phone contact for urgent inquiries. Otherwise, Twitter and e-mail are the best way to reach me.</p>
      </section>

      <section id="secondary">
        <h3>Contact Details</h3>
          <ul class="contact-info">
              <li class="phone"><a href"tel:402-555-8580">402-555-8580</a></li>
              <li class="mail"><a href="mailto:danimariedonovan@gmail.com">danimariedonovan@gmail.com</a></li>
              <li class="twitter"><a href="http://twitter.com/intent/tweet?screen_name=danidonovan">@danidonovan</a></li>
          </ul>
      </section>

Hi Dani,

Not sure if this would have caused the problem but you were missing the equal sign on the href for your phone link.

I deleted all of the new code I'd put in and re-entered it all, and it worked... Not really sure what happened but it's at least fixed now. But thanks, Calvin! :)

I love it when that happens.

Hey Dani,

I didn't notice anything wrong with your code. Do you mind providing the full HTML code for the contact.html page?

Hi, Couldn't help but notice that anchor inside the first list item is wrong.You have placed a tel:402-555-8580 inside the anchor link which might be causing an error.

Hi Kush,

It's actually ok to have a telephone link like that.
