combo.py

How do i solve this. I is it possible to run to for loops at the same time . or how do i solve this?

combo.py 
# combo([1, 2, 3], 'abc')
# Output:
# [(1, 'a'), (2, 'b'), (3, 'c')]
def combo(**args):
    new_list=list()
    for num,letter in args:
        tupel=num,letter
        new_list.append(tupel)
    return new_list
