Commands don't run, it adds them to list

https://w.trhou.se/mlpths3x20 This is my code, probably very close to the video. Everything thing works except for the commands. It just adds them too the list. I don't know why, help me please!

Check new_item.upper methods for parentheses: new_item.upper(). You are missing quite a few.
