Not totally sure what your problem is - all I see is code. But I can tell from this code it is an infinite loop that will never end. Your indentation is off. You need to indent your start-=1 so that it is considered part of the while loop.

import random

def even_odd(num):
  # If % 2 is 0, the number is even.
  # Since 0 is falsey, we have to invert it with not.
  return not num % 2

start=5

while start:
  num=random.randint(1,99)
  if even_odd(num):
      print("{} is even.".format(num))
  else:
      print("{} is odd.".format(num))

  start-=1

:point_right: First, check your indentation.

Make sure that the line that decrements start is inside the loop (otherwise the loop is infinite and crashes the "check work" function).

Then, make sure what you're printing is what the challenge asked for (the challenge strings have no periods).
