Complete the assignment to the userName variable by adding a # symbol followed by an all uppercase version of the lastNa

I really don' know how to fix this one.

app.js
var id = "23188xtr";
var lastName = "Smith";

var userName = id.toUpperCase();
document.write(id + "#" + lastName.toUpperCase());
index.html
<!DOCTYPE HTML>
<html>
<head>
  <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8">
  <title>JavaScript Basics</title>
</head>
<body>
<script src="app.js"></script>
</body>
</html>

var id = "23188xtr"; var lastName = "Smith"; var userName= id.toUpperCase(); lastName= lastName.toUpperCase(); userName = ( userName +'#' + lastName);

Hey Moises,

Seems you misunderstood the question a bit; at no point does it ask you to document.write anything. Your task is to modify the userName to concatenate a hashtag (#) and the upper case lastName variable.

The correct answer should be:

var id = "23188xtr";
var lastName = "Smith";

var userName = id.toUpperCase() + "#" + lastName.toUpperCase();

Hope this helps!
