Completely baffled. Using a different hosting service and it will not work. Should I use same port number as video?

I've tried the SFTP with Cyberduck and nothing is working. I have an account with Hostgator. My email address is my username and I've entered my password correctly. However, I've used the port number in the video and it doesn't work. I get the message "Connection failed". It doesn't have anything to do with my server being down it just doesn't work.

Do you guys know how to fix this error? If you need me to be more specific just ask and I'll get back. Thanks guys.

I just had this same issue using Cyberduck on Friday, but I was finally able to get it to work Saturday night.

Instead of just hitting the connect button and entering all the server/domain/user information, I created a bookmark for my domain. When I used that bookmark, it then asked for my username/password, and I was finally able to get connected.

Not sure why this worked or if what I did will work for you , but it's worth a try.
