Finish your both alert instructions with semicolon! And perhaps challenge wants to use just text without tags
. Not sure about last moment.

alert('
a is greater than b
');

tried the challenge, and as Evgeniia said, remove your paragraph tag, the

since the task is not asking for it, and add semicolon on the end of your alerts.

var a = 10;
var b = 20;
var c = 30;
if (a > b) {
    alert('a is greater than b');
} else {
    alert('a is NOT greater than b');
}

hope it works
