confused by question

How can I fix this?

import random def even_odd(num): while (start): rand_num=random.randint(1,99) if rand_num %2 ==0 : print("{} is even".format(rand_num)) else: print("{} is odd".format(rand_num)) start -=1

# If % 2 is 0, the number is even.
# Since 0 is falsey, we have to invert it with not.

You have your start variable in the wrong places. initial value of start should be before function & the decrement is at bottom:

import random

start = 5

def even_odd(num): return not num % 2

while start: randint = random.randint(1, 99) if even_odd(randint): print("{} is even".format(randint)) else: print("{} is odd".format(randint)) start -= 1
