Constructive criticism please!!

I have been working on the Illustrator track and wanted to get some input on my spaceman drawing and technique.

Hi Bryan, I think this is looking good! The line-work is nice and clean and I like how you've broken it up using different widths. Have you used the variable width tool yet? If not I would recommend checking it out as it could help you add an extra bit of depth to things like the folds around his mid-section so they don't appear so consistent (I haven't done the Illustrator track so I'm not sure whether or not it's covered, so here's a link to an explanation on the Adobe channel: https://tv.adobe.com/watch/csinsider-design/illustrator-a-closer-look-at-the-variable-width-tool-for-illustration/)

Otherwise, if I was to be critical then I'd say (unless you were going for more of a hand-shaded effect?) that you should block fill the base colour and then add your highlights/shadows afterwards so you can get a more consistent coverage. I'm not sure if this helps at all but I thought I'd try to give SOME feedback! :)

Thanks Mike! We did cover the variable width tool, I will work on getting that integrated into the image.
