12,107 PointsCourses like Discrete Mathematics, Algorithm Design on Treehouse?
Hey..
I have been using Treehouse for a year and found it very useful, but I think it would be a great addition if there also come courses like Discrete Math and Algorithm Design which are among the common main courses taught in Computer Science and Software Development majors in the universities.
I know these courses are so theoretical and don't have so much influence in job findings and employment. But it will give the confidence to students who are competing the other IT educated developers, so they wont feel the lack of academic knowledge thing. (And to improve the logical thinking for programming).
In addition, there are plenty of universities that are offering master degrees in CS to the students in another academic backgrounds, by requiring an entrance exam including those mentioned fields. So Treehouse can possibly support this opportunity for it's user.
Does anyone here have the same demand?:D

8,712 PointsI don't think we'll see that on Treehouse for the foreseeable future - if ever - as it tries to be a tech/IT-focused platform. If they started doing maths and stuff I think they would be less interesting to their target focus group - which is web developers.
