var hello="say hi";

function returnValue(hello) {
    return hello;
}

your function doesnt accept a value. you have to write some variable between to functions parantheses

Your solution is not good, because hello argument is not related to hello var. It is tricky for a beginner. You can name it as you want. You need to pass it to function.

function returnValue(arg) {
  return arg;
}

var echo = returnValue('hello');

I did just that says its wrong
