You're overcomplicating the challenge:

You have a method add_list_items

def add_list_items

end

Now, there needs to be an array in your method, right? Otherwise, how is the method going to return an array?

def add_list_items
  array = Array.new
end

Finally, because you need to return an array, we need one last part:

def add_list_items
    array = Array.new
    return array
end

Hope this helps!
