2,910 Pointscreate constructor call parent constructo
I am sure that my answer is correct. I looked at some answers to this question and the answers are the same as the code I'm writing. Those providing answers say it works for them, but I get 'Bummer! Try again!'
I can't go any further in the final quiz until I get this. Here is what I'm writing:
class Trout extends Fish { public function construct($name, $type, $flavor){ parent::construct($name, $type, $flavor) } }
<?php
class Fish
{
public $common_name;
public $flavor;
public $record_weight;
function __construct($name, $flavor, $record){
$this->common_name = $name;
$this->flavor = $flavor;
$this->record_weight = $record;
}
public function getInfo() {
$output = "The {$this->common_name} is an awesome fish. ";
$output .= "It is very {$this->flavor} when eaten. ";
$output .= "Currently the world record {$this->common_name} weighed {$this->record_weight}.";
return $output;
}
}
class Trout extends Fish {
public function __construct($name, $flavor, $record){
parent::__construct($name, $flavor, $record)
}
}
}
}
}
?>

Courses Plus Student 94,610 PointsHi Steve,
You're missing a semicolon to end the statement that's calling the parent constructor:
parent::__construct($name, $flavor, $record) // missing semicolon
Also, there was a lot of blank lines that posted in your code and you have 3 extra closing curly braces among those extra blank lines. I would make sure that all of your curly braces match up to avoid additional syntax errors.
