HTML Introduction to HTML and CSS (2016) Make It Beautiful With CSS Test: Styling by Element and Class

CSS coding basic structure, can anyone tell me where I am going wrong... please?:-D

I have checked on CSS-Tricks.com and I still can't spot an error in my code, can anyone else?

index.html
<!doctype html>
<html>
  <head>
    <link href="styles.css" rel="stylesheet">
  </head>
  <body>

    <p class="main-pg" >My amazing website</p>

  </body>
</html>
styles.css
.main-pg p {
  border: 4px solid red;

}

I can see it now, weird lol

The selector is simply .main-pg. There is no need for the p tag
