Python Python Collections (2016, retired 2019) Lists Disemvowel

Despite applying several different ways to solve disemvowel.py I keep getting Bummer messages.

Tried looping, replace with "", convert to list and remove, nothing seems to be solving this. Not sure why it is not working

disemvowel.py 
def disemvowel(word):
    vowels = ('a', 'e', 'i', 'o', 'u','A','E','I','O','U')
    word = list(word)
    for x in word:
            if x in vowels:
                word.remove(x)
    return ''.join(word)

You should never modify an iterable inside the loop that is using it.

This can cause unexpected problems such as items being skipped over.

The simplest resolution is probably to iterate on a copy of the iterable, easily made using a slice:

    for x in word[:]:
