Did anyone else take a long time to extract the Android files after download?

I just purchased a basic but new laptop to take treehouse classes and I am having a HECK of a time downloading (in Explorer) and now extracting Android files. Is it just me? help!

Yeah, it took a bit for me. Downloading will vary depending on your internet connection. Is the extraction done now or are you still waiting? Once your done setting up the development the only other thing that will take time is starting up the emulated android device.

Hello Javaughn, Yes it took a long time for me also to download and extract. I don't remember how long exactly, maybe one or two hours. The download is 817 megabytes. It's a large program!
