it told me to set a boolean value which will set off the alert "This is true"

28,330 PointsI think you're literally just supposed to add true
to the conditional statement. Not sure why it wouldn't recognize your answer. though. Here ya go:
if ( true ) {
alert('This is true');
} else {
alert('This is false');
}
