Didn't find the right series of sundaes and commas in `menu`. Not understanding this error code.

When I did the code in the workspace it seems to be fine, with no error, so not sure where I am overlooking for the code challenge.

banana.py
available = "banana split;hot fudge;cherry;malted;black and white"
sundaes = available.split(";")
menu = "Our available flavors are: {}."
menu.format(", ".join(sundaes))

You are very close I think. Try tagging the .format on directly on the string.

menu = "Our available flavors are: {}.".format(", ".join(sundaes))

Hey there,

you almost got it right but note that using the format method on the menu variable just returns the formatted String but it does not overwrite the variable. To overwrite it you can either directly use the format method on the String or you have to assign the new value to the menu variable again like so:

available = "banana split;hot fudge;cherry;malted;black and white"
sundaes = available.split(";")
menu = "Our available flavors are: {}."
menu = menu.format(", ".join(sundaes))

I hope that helps! :)
