display:inline-block vs float

why dont we use float here to make the navigation horizontal.I tried doing but it doesnt work.Can someone explain why?

it will 100% work . See floats are used to take out elements from the normal low of the page. Whereas inline-block property is make element inline but also follow the freedom of block elements. YOU can use BOTH of these methods to make the navigation bar. SEND the CODE if you are having problem in it.You can use FLOAT.
