I have a paypal account, but I don't really want to meddle with it. Would it be okay to just watch the paypal videos without actually doing anything in paypal?

10,554 PointsI found the easiest thing to do was to copy and paste Randy's code from either the project files or text files in the "teacher's notes" section and just use those. That way you can still follow along, everything works, but you don't have to set up a real account or mess with the developer's sandbox. In other words, no you don't have to set up a real account but you should still follow along.

You don't have to but you can use the PayPal sandbox which is a raw copy of their live payments system but the endpoints don't hit real credit cards or other information to that effect.
