Does anybody know how to do this?

So I am working on the Android course. Soon on this code challenge, I thought I have mastered it just to find out i dont know how to set a color from the XML using hexcode, the code is below, what am I doing wrong?

  android:layout_width="match_parent"
  android:layout_height="match_parent"
  android:background="@android:color/#fff092b0" >

Hi Evering,

Android has some "default" colors that you can access in XML like you have done with "@android:color/white". What this does is it acts like a "placeholder" for the hex color of white... so in reality "@android:color/white" would be the same as saying "#ffffffff"

If you want to use a different color not provided by Android, you can use the hex value directly like so:

android:background="#fff092b0"
