does dl work spaces work better?

so i hate asking code questions .. i mean am typing the exact thing i see in the vid .turns out all the errors i have had are due to workspaces not working for some reason ..so i have to refresh the vid page close work spaces and relaunch from new refresh page . so am asking will downloading workspaces clear up this refresh page issue or should i not use work spaces and get another editor?

Hi Roger,

Workspaces is optional - feel free to setup and use a local development environment. I used Sublime Text 2 all the time.

I don't know what to say in regards to Workspaces not working for you - that may be worth sending an email to help@teamtreehouse.com to see if they can figure it out - they've always been really helpful when I reach out to them.
