hi just spotted a little error in your code,

        <!-- You Code -->

        <ul>
          <li>Portfolio</li><a href="index.html">
          <li>About<a href="about.html"></a></li>
          <li>Contact<a href="contact.html"></a></li>
        </ul>

Changes as below :

        <!-- Correct Code -->

        <ul>
          <li><a href="index.html">Portfolio</a></li>
          <li><a href="about.html">About</a></li>
          <li><a href="contact.html">Contact</a></li>
        </ul>

Hope this helps!!

Craig

As Craig pointed out, you must put the text to be linked inside the anchor tag. So, for example, if you want to link a paragraph to a sibling .html page, you could use:

<a href="another-page.html" title="Click me to go to Another Page!"><p>This text links to another page.</p></a>

Keep coding!
