don't understand seudo-classes

why cant I change the color of the nav links that i'm hovering over by simply using the selector with the seudoclass: hover

nav a: hover {

and then changing the color?

it keeps telling me I'm wrong on the code challenge and I can't figure out why.

Hello Zach!

Try to remove whitespace between the tag selector with colon "a:" and the name of the pseudo-class "hover".

nav a:hover {
    color: #32673f
}

There should be no whitespaces between a selector and a pseudo-class.
