downloading the workspace

hello, I am on google chrome and when I download my workspace, so I can transfer my file through SFTP, it doesn't download the file like zip file and I cant open the file, what do you think the problem is?

Have you tried manually adding the .zip file extension to the end of the downloaded file name?

I'm assuming it would be a compressed .zip file. If not, try adding whatever file extension you know or think the file should be and try opening it again.

Majid Mokhtari - Looks like there's a bug when trying to download a Workspace.

I just tried it and had the same issues, on Chrome 34, Firefox 28 and Internet Exploer 11 on Windows 7.

I added the extension .zip and it went ok, but I don't know why I should do that manualy!! strange!!

Yes, thanks for confirming James. The same occurred to me when I downloaded my workspace and adding the extension manually worked just fine, meaning the file was originally saved as a .zip.

I have encountered this when downloading a file online now and again over the years.

From what I know, the issue's that for whatever reason the file has had the extension removed at some point either at the source on the generated file or during the download process.

Maybe someone at Tree House will look into it once they see this thread.
