drupal error

I uninstalled an reinstalled mamp to fix some issues I was having, and now when I try to open it, it says some other software is using port 8888?

Any suggestions? Aaron

It reminds me an issue I had some months ago. On my side that was caused by skype which was using the same port as Wamp If I remember well. You should take a look at this.

what other application might cause this issue besides skype as I do nlot have that program installed on my computer. Also, do you have any ideas on a program like fport that ouputs ports. It is for a mac.
