This challengue say this
Create a new function named max which accepts two numbers as arguments (you can name the arguments, whatever you would like). The function should return the larger of the two numbers.
HINT: You'll need to use a conditional statement to test the 2 parameters to see which is the larger of the two.
I write this code:
function max ( 50, 20) { if (50 > 10 ) { return 50; } }
but the sytem show error Systax, where is my error in the code?

Treehouse Moderator 145,860 PointsHey Josue,
You can't hard code the values into the function or the return statement. The challenge is looking for variables and returning which of the two variables is the greater one (either on can be depending on the values passed in when the function is called).
So your structure is okay, but the syntax is off.
function max(a, b) {
if (a > b) {
return a
} else {
return b
};
}
Hope this helps. Keep Coding! :)
