else if question. Another parse error!

Is my indentation off somewhere?

script.js
var isAdmin = false;
var isStudent = false;

if ( isAdmin ) {
    alert('Welcome administrator');
} else if (isAdmin = false) {
    alert('Welcome student');
} else (isAdmin = false && isStudent = false) {
    alert('Who are you?');
}

</head>
<body>
<script src="script.js"></script>
</body>
</html>

I was able to get the code to work using the following:

var isAdmin = false; var isStudent = false;

if ( isAdmin ) { alert('Welcome administrator'); } else if (isStudent) { alert('Welcome student'); } else { alert('Who are you?'); }

Your indentation doesn't matter in Javascript.

The problem here is that inside your conditional checks, you're using =, which is the assignment operator, and not === which checks for equality.
