Emulator takes too much time to start while in the TreeHouse tutorial the emulator comes very fast once run is clicked.

Any link or suggestion how should I know about handling of Emulator. For example: Closing of the Emulator and opening of emulator.

After small changes build takes 3 mins approx everytime and then Emulator another 2 minutes or so.

System :

Do you have hardware acceleration (HAXM) enabled? Not all computers support HAXM, but most do and it makes a big difference in how fast your emulator runs. If HAXM doesn't work for you, then as Doug mentions, check out Genymotion.

Hey Sunny the native android emulator is very slow and cumbersome. If you don't have a real device then you should emulate with something called genymotion. Here is a link to check it out !
