Error 1704 installing java

An installation for Solution center is currently suspended. You must undo the changes made by that installation to continue. Do you want to undo those changes?

If I select yes, the error pops up again every time. If I select no, the install wizard cancels.

What is your OS ?

Edit: I just saw you are using windows. Try uninstalling the java you have installed if you any of it has been installed. The run Microsoft Fix it Utility and then try to install the java you are trying to install it again. If you still have issues let us know.

Ha, apparently I get the same error when I try to uninstall Java. I was also getting this error trying to install software from H&R block for an accounting class I'm taking last week. I solved that problem by installing it on my laptop running Windows 7, and had no problems. I have Window 8.1 on this computer.

I think I'm going to try restarting my computer now :)

Thanks, I think I got it. I restarted and was able to uninstall Java, and then reinstall the download of Java here.

Awesome! :D
