Error After Building Project Before Doing Anything

This is the error I get after I first build the project before I even do anything...

Error:compileSdkVersion android-21 requires compiling with JDK 7 <a href="open.sdk.settings">Open SDK Settings</a><br><a href="openFile">Open File</a>

I have downloaded and installed the most recent version of JDK (8u25) and am running the most recent release of Android Studio (1.0.1)

Does anyone know what to do to fix this?

Try installing Java 7 instead of Java 8. Since the error is saying android 21 requires compiling with JDK 7
